First Mike Posner, then KiD CuDi, and now J. Cole….probably my three favorite upcoming artists right now have all released crazy good songs. J. Cole, who has literally never dissappointed me with a track of his, teamed up with super-producer Jim Jonsin (“Lollipop,” “Whatever You Like”) for this song. Though it sounds unfinished, it’s definitely worth a listen/download.
I can tell that CuDi’s moving away from the mainstream stuff he’s done in the past with these new leaks. This isn’t as “abstract” as “REVOFEV,” but it’s definitely not anything that’s gonna get on the radio. I think it’s dope, but I can see a lot of people hating on it in the near future.
Yeah, I thought it was a joke too. But that’s the name of his new album single, and it’s pretty sick. In fact, I’ve listened to it three times in a row…and I don’t really plan on stopping.
This video surfaced today of Kanye dropping a dope freestyle at the Facebook headquarters (I don’t know why he was there either), but it’s worth checking out. Also, Kanye jointed Twitter and announced that his album is being renamed.
New Vizzy song from an upcoming Evil Empire mixtape (It comes out Friday, I believe). This one’s a lot better than his last leak, but this won’t be on Vizzy Zone.
New video from Estelle and Nas. I’m really liking Nas’s verse on this. It just adds to the overall quality of this track. From Estelle’s upcoming album.
Chill Cudi Remix. This is shit only Clevelanders can truly remember. Man On the Moon was one of Cudder’s first big hits around this area, coupled with Dat New New. Check out the mashup with The Postal Service below and download it.
Shouts to GMAD for this one. Tayyib Ali, a buddy of mine from Philly, is an up and coming hip hop artist with some serious potential. He’s toured with the likes of Shwayze and Sam Adams and he’s only 18. Check out these off-the-dome freestyles and be sure to hit up his myspace.
Mac Miller released this video/single from his upcoming K.I.D.S. mixtape. He’s the newest artist on the Rostrum Records roster, and this kind of reminds me of stuff from Wiz Khalifa’s Kush & OJ mixtape. The best part about this video, though, is the #94 Token Black Bro carrying around the boom box behind him.
