August 24th. Mark your calendars. This is the day that music as we know it will change forever. Chiddy Bang is releasing their currently untitled debut album and it’s sure to be their best work yet. Xaphoon just informed us and I’m stoked. The dynamic duo of producer Xaphoon Jones and emcee Proto describe themselves as a “hipster’s wet dream” or “kings of the basement party”. Take it as you will, but their music is game-changing. Their debut mixtape, The Swelly Express was dope and got them signed to EMI Records, and Air Swell, which dropped this week, didn’t disappoint. You can tell, though, that they’re focusing all their effort on their debut album. I honestly cannot wait for this. I’m about to hit them up to beg for a preview. Listen to some Chiddy below.

Hey, where’d you get the info about the release date? I know Xaphoon said it at a show this past week on Thurs at Penn State that I was at, but I was wondering if it’s been officially released anywhere else. Let me know. Thanks.
