50 Cent Ripped

Okay so we’re not really offering a diet for 50 cents, but 50 recently dropped nearly 60 pounds and had all of his tattoos removed for an upcoming movie, Things Fall Apart, in which he has to play a football player that gets diagnosed with leukemia. Looks like he’ll play the part just fine. He went from 214 lbs. to 160 lbs. using a liquid diet and 3 hours of walking on the treadmill everyday. Talk about a transformation. He told the media,“I was starving” but is now back on tour and has changed his diet and workout routines back to normal. “I’ve been eating. I’ll be back in shape in no time!” I hope this movie is worth all the effort. I mean, he’s not even a very good actor. He couldn’t even play himself very well in his own autobiographical movie, Get Rich or Die Tryin’. Regardless, we applaud the discipline and dedication it took to achieve this feat. Do you think it’s harder to get as jacked as he was or to lose all that muscle? I’ll try neither. I’m perfectly content with sitting in front of my computer and blogging about all this. That beats working out in the gym for hours upon hours everyday or the opposite, sitting in front of the toilet/attempting to avoid the refrigerator in order to achieve that….physique.

I remember when I heard my first Kanye West song, All Falls Down, and instantly fell in love. I also remember about two months later, when I watched my first Kanye West interview and saw how cocky, stuck-up, and arrogant the guy is. Listen to any song of his and I can guarantee that you will hear at least one line of self-praise. Why then, after numerous award show temper tantrums  over defeat and after instances like the infamous Taylor Swift interruption, do I still listen to his music? My common sense tells me that a jerk like Kanye deserves to be ignored. Hell, maybe not listening to his music can humble the egotistical music star. I refuse to even try. Why? His music is too good for me to be able to ignore.  As a rapper/producer he never ceases to impress me and I love that, but I know that if I ran into him on the street and tried to talk to him, he would either ignore me or give me a puzzled look and say something along the lines of “Who the hell are you?” or “Do you know who I am? I’m the shit”. Kanye himself says in a song with Rhymefest titled Brand New “I’m still one that you love to hate but can’t because you love what I make”. Nothing could be closer to the truth. If Kanye were an Average Joe, someone probably would have set him straight by now. He, however, is as far from average as you can get and he’ll never let you forget that.

He’s an unpredictable character and that quality is just too interesting to ignore. He’ll freak out on someone one day and be crying on Leno the next. He’ll have beef with 50 Cent that makes the cover of Rolling Stone and he’ll interrupt you during the happiest moment of your career to date (T-Swift). He’ll also create music that rockets to #1 and will sit in your head for days. This is the reason why he has millions of followers. Despite the unbelievable number of adoring fans, there is not one person on this Earth that is a bigger fan of Kanye than Mr. West himself.
