Asher hops on this N.E.R.D & Nelly Furtado track, which I didn’t like to begin with, and does a decent job with it. Asher’s been making some good music lately and has really made big strides in getting his career back after his debut album flopped big time. Check it out below and download it if you dig it.

I stumbled across Asher Roth’s new website, Asher Roth Music, recently and found this video of him spitting a morning freestyle in London. There’s no doubt that this guy has talent, but I’m just hoping his next album is nothing like the Asleep in the Bread Aisle days. Anyway, check out the vid, and also check out his new website. It’s pretty cool.

I, like many people, lost all faith in Asher Roth after his terrible Foie Gras mixtape. This song’s been making it’s rounds on the internet, though, and I listened for the hell of it. I actually like it a lot. If Asher can keep putting stuff like this out, he just might redeem himself in my mind.

Lupe announced via Twitter yesterday that a new group, called the “All City Chess Club,” was in the studio. Later, he put out the above tweet saying who was in the group. We’re not exactly sure what they’re working on together, but it’s no doubt going to be an amazing project. I can’t imagine how cool it would be if all of those guys did an album, mixtape, or even just a song together.

Asher Roth’s highly anticipated new mixtape dropped this morning, and while I haven’t gotten a chance to listen to it all the way through yet, I wanted to post it up for you all to enjoy. The tracklisting below shows that Asher’s working with some dope producers, so hopefully he proves his talent on this tape. Here’s the first cut off of Asher’s upcoming mixtape. This new track is produced by will.i.am and is pretty dope. There’s a lot of pressure for Asher to perform on this next mixtape, mostly because it could make or break the deal as to whether he’s recognized as a respectable hip-hop artist and not just another 15-minutes-of-fame white rapper. Last year, XXL Magazine unveiled their list of the Freshmen Ten and they were pretty much dead on with their predictions of upcoming rappers that would make a big splash in the hip-hop game for 2009. Last year’s list: Kid Cudi, Wale, B.o.B., Asher Roth, Ace Hood, Blu, Curren$y, Charles Hamilton, Mickey Factz, Cory Gunz. This is supposedly 2010’s list which officially comes out March 16th (J.Cole, XV, and Wiz definitely make the cut but I can’t say I agree whatsoever with Nicki Minaj making the list…:

The only thing better than a super dope song from a mixtape is a super dope song from a mixtape minus the DJ tags. Thanks to DJ Drama and DJ Sense, we weren’t able to experience that on B.o.B’s last mixtape (though it was dope none the less). However, a CDQ version of Asher and Bobby Ray’s track just dropped, so if you like this song, it’s definitely worth downloading the new version.

Last time B.o.B and Asher Roth teamed up, we got “Change Gonna Come,” a super dope song featuring Charles Hamilton. This time, the two have hopped on some Kanye West production for “F*** The Money,” which was recently leaked to Los Angeles Leakers. It’s off of B.o.B’s upcoming mixtape, May 25, named after his debut album’s release date. This song was just released as a preview, so the quality’s not stellar, but it’s definitely worth checking out. Now I’m even more excited for B.o.B.’s mixtape, dropping February 1 (check out the dope artwork above).
