I’m not a big fan of this song or this video, but a lot of people seem to think it’s pretty good. I’ve seen Big Sean do much better, but if you like this, enjoy.

This Don Cannon-produced track is from Big Sean’s upcoming Finally Famous Volume 3 mixtape. Big Sean’s been steadily growing on me, and this track is one of the best I’ve heard lately. I’m actually starting to get pretty excited for this mixtape.

Big Sean’s been growing on me a lot lately, and songs like this one are the reason why. Drake and Big Sean both kill their verses. Dope.

Last year, XXL Magazine unveiled their list of the Freshmen Ten and they were pretty much dead on with their predictions of upcoming rappers that would make a big splash in the hip-hop game for 2009. Last year’s list: Kid Cudi, Wale, B.o.B., Asher Roth, Ace Hood, Blu, Curren$y, Charles Hamilton, Mickey Factz, Cory Gunz. This is supposedly 2010’s list which officially comes out March 16th (J.Cole, XV, and Wiz definitely make the cut but I can’t say I agree whatsoever with Nicki Minaj making the list…:

Check out the video where they “hide” the identities of four of this year’s ten (it’s Pill, Nipsey Hu$$le, J. Cole and Fashawn)

We’ve come across some pretty dope remixes lately, so we decided to compile them all into one post for your listening pleasure. Some of these songs aren’t the type of songs you usually hear on The MuSiK Box, but they sound good and we enjoyed them, so we think you will too. So sit back, relax, break out the boom box, and get ready for some remix madness.
Major Lazer ft. Elephant Man- “Halo” (Beyonce Cover)
Big Sean- “Supa Dupa Lemonade” (Gucci Mane Remix)
Joell Ortiz- “Exhibit H(aiti)” (Jay Electronica Remix)
Ellie Goulding- “Starry Eyed” (Penguin Prison Remix Ft. Theophilus London)
The Kickdrums ft. Big Pooh- Impatient (Slow Down) Remix

Damn. I really wish I had been at this concert. The other night Kid Cudi did a concert at Club Nokia in Los Angeles, and he surprised his audience with a few guest performers. These weren’t just your average guest performers though… Cudi brought out Chip tha Ripper, Dot da Genius, Big Sean, and even Kanye West himself. Needless to say, it was probably a good time.
Check out all the pictures at Dat New Cudi.
