This song is straight crazy. I’m usually pretty hesitant in checking out remixes, especially of bands I don’t really listen to. However, I heard so many good things about this one that I had to give it a listen. This will definitely be one of my most played tracks in the near future. Get it below.
T-Pain found Artest’s single good enough to remix apparently. Artest released this track after they beat Boston in the Finals this season and shocked a lot of people. He’s been calling himself a rapper for a while now but no one had ever heard any of his stuff, so he was widely assumed to be bad. The original was surprisingly good but the remix adds some much needed flavor: Check it outtt:
Asher hops on this N.E.R.D & Nelly Furtado track, which I didn’t like to begin with, and does a decent job with it. Asher’s been making some good music lately and has really made big strides in getting his career back after his debut album flopped big time. Check it out below and download it if you dig it.
Passion Pit remixes this quite nicely. They took a ridiculously catchy song and made a club version that just makes you want to grab some gin and juice and hit the dance floor. Check it out below. P.S., how did Katy Perry grab the top spot on Maxim’s Hot 100? Oh yeah, check out that picture.
DJ Skeet Skeet is pretty dope. He often takes popular songs and puts a new, catchy, sped up beat on them. He does it this time with Mike Posner’s Cooler Than Me and the product is pretty nice.
This is a pretty crazy remix. Cookin’ Soul (whoever that is) spices up the original beat and adds a verse from Biggie. It’s from a remix project that Cookin’ Soul is doing called Thank Us Later (artwork above).
My cousin recently introduced me to Chrispy, and I’ve been pretty much addicted ever since. The only information I could find on him online was that he’s from Wales and makes dubstep songs and remixes. I guess he just lets the music speak for itself. Check out some of his mind-melting remixes to songs like La Roux’s “Bulletproof,” Rihanna’s “Rude Boy,” and even the Inspector Gadget theme song. This definitely isn’t the type of music you listen to sitting by your computer, but if you hook up your iPod to a nice sound system and take a good listen, you’ll be blown away.

I didn’t like “XXXO” when it first came out, but it’s growing on me with every listen. Now, Jay-Z has hopped on a verse, and it’s definitely worth adding to your iTunes collection.
I was really disappointed when “That Tree” first came out because the beat was pretty horrendous. Big Z took it and did exactly what was needed. He gave it a cool new beat and kept Snoop and Cudi’s vocals, making it into a song that I’ll actually enjoy listening to. Get it below.
XV and Killer Mike help out Chiddy Bang for a remix of their Swelly Express hit “Never.” XV’s always good, but I’m not feeling this Killer Mike guy too much.
Beatnick and K-Salaam go in on this one and remix it pretty nicely. Smells Like Teen Spirit is a classic that pretty much every kid, whether he lived through the 90s or not, knows. It’s just so unique. I feel like part of the reason that it’s popular is because no one knows what the hell Kurt Cobain is saying. Weird Al spoofs that and it’s pretty funny. Check out the remix below, and Weird Al’s rendition, which has a music video.
