Now that the duo of Shwayze and Cisco Adler has split up, emcee Aaron Smith is starting his solo career. This is the first single from his upcoming solo mixtape, Love Stoned. I’m not feeling this track too much, but the preview video he uploaded of his other single sounds pretty cool. Check that out after the jump.
So the members of Shwayze, the duo of Aaron “Shwayze” Smith and Cisco Adler have decided to pursue solo careers but their bromance has not ended. This is a very good thing. Cisco had Aaron hop on these three dope ass tracks just in time for the heart of Summer, seemingly the only time the duo can produce anything. I’m really digging them, and I think you will too. California Girl is my favorite. Check them out below and be sure to cop them.
Though this isn’t an official Travis Barker mixtape, it contains almost all of the remixes he’s been releasing on YouTube lately. The mixtape, assembled by the AtariCoolKids, has remixes of Drake, Shwayze, Eminem, Jay-Z, and more. For something that’s not official, it’s pretty damn good. See the track listing and download below. Also, check out his remix to Shwayze’s “Get U Home,” below.

15. BONUS TRACK
I have to admit that when I heard the first few songs from Shwayze’s newest album, Let it Beat, I was a little disappointed. There was something different about the songs, and they didn’t seem as instantly catchy as those from his debut album. However, the more I listened to the album, the more it grew on me, and it’s now gotten to the point where I can’t stop listening to it. While I’m still not ready to say that it’s better than his last album, it’s pretty damn close.
Shwayze continues to prove that no one in the industry fuses hip-hop and rock and roll better than he and partner Cisco Adler. This album has a bit more of a rock feel than his last album, but Shwayze continues to spit clever, witty, and creative lines in his signature fashion. Cisco Adler changes it up a bit, singing actual verses in a few songs rather than just jumping in on every hook. He also experiments with some more electric rock sounding songs instead of sticking with his usual chill, acoustic sound. As usual, the majority of the duo’s songs are about the lives of two hard-core partiers in love with weed, women, and alcohol.
While this album is a bit different from Shwayze’s first one, the changes are good ones, and it’s definitely worth buying the whole thing. Check out “Heart and Soul,” one of the album’s best tracks, below.
Check out these new tracks from B.o.B, Shwayze, and Lupe Fiasco. The first track is the finalized version of a B.o.B snippet that was released a while ago. The second is also a finalized version of a singe from Shwayze’s new album, Let it Beat. The final is a joint recently released by Lupe, but we’re not sure if it’s on the upcoming album or not. All are great songs. Check them out.
Back before the summer of ‘08, Shwayze burst onto the hip-hop scene. With some great singles, a hot album, and an outrageous MTV show, the 2 piece hip-hop act consisting of front man Shwayze and producer Cisco Adler had us hooked. Fans were ‘Buzzin’ all over the group and were hyped up to see what the talented duo would do next. The answer disappointed us all: nothing. Their TV show got cancelled, they stopped coming out with singles and almost completely fell off the map. The short success they experienced also introduced them to the good life, and it’s clear that they got caught up in it. Too busy partying and living it up, the duo neglected to produce anything new. The ridiculous amount of hype they had quickly diminished and the pair were soon forgotten. Now, however, it might be time to welcome them back. Shwayze and Cisco are at it again, and their second album, Let it Beat is set to be released on October 27, 2009. The duo is currently touring to promote their new album. Shwayze appears to have gone from a know name act to big time and back to obscurity. Let’s hope their new album is as good as the last one and that they hit the national limelight again…this time for good. In the meantime, check out and download these songs from the album.
