New Vizzy song from an upcoming Evil Empire mixtape (It comes out Friday, I believe). This one’s a lot better than his last leak, but this won’t be on Vizzy Zone.

This is the first single off of Vizzy Zone, XV’s highly anticipated follow up to his Everybody’s Nobody mixtape. I’ve given this song 2 listens, and I can’t say that I like it. The rhymes are pretty good, but the beat is just annoying to me. What do you guys think? I’m hoping for better things on Vizzy Zone.

XV and producer Seven are back again with a new track off of The Kid With the Green Backpack. I’m just waiting for Vizzy Zone to drop, but this is nice in the meantime.

XV and Killer Mike help out Chiddy Bang for a remix of their Swelly Express hit “Never.” XV’s always good, but I’m not feeling this Killer Mike guy too much.

These days I’ll check out almost anything that XV’s on, but I was really interested in this song because it uses a Pink Floyd sample. The end result is pretty cool, and XV drops some dope rhymes as usual. Nickelus F manages to hold his own, too. Get it below.

XV’s newest project, called 30 Minute Layover, dropped yesterday. It’s a precursor to his upcoming Vizzy Zone, mixtape, and it consists of XV rapping over 10 different popular instrumentals. Check out “Lift the Game,” his remix to Weezy’s “Drop the World,” below and hit the link for the download.

I got a pleasant surprise a few minutes ago when this song showed up in my Facebook newsfeed from XV’s fan page. Apparently, XV’s been working on a new mixtape that’s set to drop this Friday. He says, “30 Minute Layover is a 30 min. project, consisting of 10 new XV freestyles over industry instrumentals.” This is just a side project for XV as he prepares to drop his more official Vizzy Zone mixtape in the near future. If all the songs are as good as “Lift the Game,” though, we’re in for a treat.
Preview and download the mixtape’s first track below. Called “Lift the Game,” it uses Lil Wayne’s “Drop the World” instrumental.

Last year, XXL Magazine unveiled their list of the Freshmen Ten and they were pretty much dead on with their predictions of upcoming rappers that would make a big splash in the hip-hop game for 2009. Last year’s list: Kid Cudi, Wale, B.o.B., Asher Roth, Ace Hood, Blu, Curren$y, Charles Hamilton, Mickey Factz, Cory Gunz. This is supposedly 2010’s list which officially comes out March 16th (J.Cole, XV, and Wiz definitely make the cut but I can’t say I agree whatsoever with Nicki Minaj making the list…:

Check out the video where they “hide” the identities of four of this year’s ten (it’s Pill, Nipsey Hu$$le, J. Cole and Fashawn)

XV’s last mixtape, called Everybody’s Nobody, consisted of pretty much two things– XV’s sick flow and Seven’s nasty beats. Now you can experience just the latter part with this latest drop from our friend Vizzy. It consists of the instrumentals, all produced by Seven, from Everybody’s Nobody. It’s definitely worth checking out, especially if you’re into hip-hop beats/instrumentals. Hit the jump for a track listing and download link.

Here’s a cool little informational video for XV. It’s his “2010 Electronic Press Kit,” and it tells about how he got started and some of his upcoming stuff. There’s also some cool live footage thrown in there.
